Welcome to the 2017 IAEE Art of the Show Competition!

There is an art to organizing a great show and then there is the art of marketing that show. And while exhibition and event organizers can refer to the IAEE Art of the Show Textbook for creating a fantastic show experience, the art of promoting that show is as broad as the imaginations of the marketers behind it.

This is where the IAEE Art of the Show Competition becomes compelling – because this competition promotes the art of marketing activities directly related to successfully organizing and executing an exhibition and/or event.

From a marketing perspective, what defines a successful show? Preferred outcomes may include:

  • Increased overall attendance as well as successful promotion of event content, activities and show floor design;
  • Integrating messaging across multiple platforms such as exhibitor and sponsor sales programs that lead to increased revenue;
  • Engaging attendees throughout the life of the show (pre-, during and post-show); and
  • Identifying and attracting new markets/segments for future show growth, among others.

In other words, this is how the best marketers showcase a trade show or event.
